Tokina 11-16mm? The shot is nice overall, like the colors. Lighting is a bit uninteresting in much of the photo to me personally. I might have gotten closer to where the light spilled onto the monuments.
Monument Valley is on Navajo lands, this was shot as close as I could get. Many people just stop and shoot from eye level. I got down below the lowest barb wire fences and shoot the cracks to create something in the foreground. I do feel that the lighting could have been more dynamic. And yes I used a 11-16mm Tokina.
Very nice work
I would say that this shot more then makes up for any problems you had getting shots of the eclipse.
I agree Though I'm pretty sure some of the Pro's out that day got some amazing shots too.
Eh, with photography, don't worry about what everyone else is doing, just look for your own view of things. I can't afford the really good equipment, or to travel right now, but I do what I can with what I have. At some point, you will be looking in the right direction at the right moment, when no one else is, and get a shot that they would all envy.
this is cool. nice work.
